PURPOSE

As the Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for leading the product vision, strategy, and execution in alignment with the company's overall objectives. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and conceptualisation to development, launch, and ongoing enhancement. The CPO plays a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering a customer-centric approach, and maximising the value delivered by the company's products.

OBJECTIVES

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy in line with the company’s goals and market trends.
  • Lead the product management team to prioritise initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new opportunities, anticipating market needs, and conceptualising groundbreaking solutions.
  • Deploy appropriate management tools to plan, execute and measure the product vision and strategy.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity throughout the product development process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product performance, identify areas for optimisation, and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
Role Requirements

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Additional certifications in product management or related disciplines are a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing innovative products to market, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Deep understanding of product management principles, methodologies, best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA, Asana, or Trello.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and user research methodologies.
  • Experience with product analytics and optimisation tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving product innovation and delivering successful outcomes in high-growth environments.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and drive product strategy accordingly.
